About the Opportunity

Invest in a proven business model. Mad Dogs and Englishmen is a well-established mobile dog walking and daycare business operating over 30 franchises nationwide. This opportunity allows you to be your own boss, whilst spending your days outdoors, walking dogs at parks and beaches.

The business offers two main services:
- Single group walks of up to four dogs at a time
- Doggy Day Care - the same structure as single group walks but the dogs under this service go out on multiple walks in a row.

If you decide to join our team, we would start off by setting you up by adding your profile to our web site, designing any marketing material you may need and adding your area to our marketing strategy if starting in a new location.

Once the training is complete, you are ready to start off on your own. A manager is at the end of the phone if you are in a situation where you are not sure what to do. We will focus on finding you new customers and building your new franchise - historically, we find around 70% of the clients for you via our marketing endeavours, while you as franchisee will be doing such a great job at the park, that people will see you working and book in because of you (on average around 30% of new clients come from you - the franchisee).

Marketing support

Mad Dogs & Englishmen Head Office supports your business with a dedicated marketing team. Our team expertly manages our AdWords budgets for SEO, SEM, and social media. Additionally, our in-house graphic designer creates eye-catching promotional materials for us to use. We have had numerous appearences on TV and radio too enhancing our brand! You may even choose to use our "Pop-Up Stall" at your local shopping centre to get things moving!

Training provided

If you decide to join our team, you would then receive a day of training on the admin side of the business at Mad Dogs & Englishmen HQ, where we will set up all you need to get the business running properly. Also how to take bookings and planning your day using our day planner software. We have a training manual which we will spend the day working through to make sure you are ready to go. Once completed you would spend a day with a manager, before walking dogs for an existing franchisee where we will show you exactly how we handle the dogs.

History

In 2006 husband and wife team, James & Catherine moved from England and decided to try walking dogs for a living! They started off posting a few hand drawn adverts on lamp posts, and speaking to people at the parks. They started to get busy quickly as nobody else was doing what they were doing - and as they got busier, they decided to not run the business as a hobby, but as a proper professional business. We are currently Australia’s largest Dog Walking business with over 30 franchises nationwide.
