With a population of around 423, Narembeen's nearest post office is Bruce Rock LPO, located 39.2 kilometres away. Narembeen itself operates as a sole postal service outlet providing a range of essential services including postage stamps, money orders, banking facilities, bill payments, mail processing, and philatelic items for stamp enthusiasts. The outlet also offers Postpak products, Post Office Boxes, and complementary items such as cards, stationery, and gifts.
Presently, Narembeen manages 346 Post Office boxes, comprising 285 small, 56 medium, and 5 large boxes, with 329 of them leased out (279 small, 45 medium, and 5 large). Additionally, it services 104 Counter Mail Delivery Points, although this number may fluctuate over time. The existing business houses 2 mail contractors.
Australia Post are looking for Licensees who are:
- Confident and capable businesspeople, who are passionate about the communities they are supporting and will be operating in
- Passionate about the Australia Post brand and committed to adopting Australia Post systems.
- Of good moral character and have sufficient business experience, comfort with technology, aptitude, and financial resources to operate an LPO.
- Reliable and experienced in managing staff with great communication skills.
- Able to demonstrate a successful track record in business acumen, running a small business or have an in-depth understanding of small business.
- Energetic, in good health and prepared to work extended hours.
- Over 18 years of age and an Australian Citizen/Permanent Resident of Australia, with no criminal record
- Registered for GST, with an Australian Business Number (ABN)
- Capable and willing to comply with all relevant laws, including workplace laws.
- Willing and able to comply with the LPO Agreement, including but not limited to training, and the Franchising Code of Conduct
- Have adequate working capital to provide coverage through any training periods and willing to commit to a continued investment in their business.
- Committed to adopting Australia Post’s systems, processes, and customer commitments.
- Participate in Australia Post forums and provide mentorship to other Licensees, where required.

Applicants will need to complete a Non-Disclosure agreement before receiving a detailed business guide. An application will need to include a detailed business plan and cash flow projections.

Training provided
As a licensee you will receive:
- Further training at a Post office including assessments
- Ongoing training sessions to support new licensees
- Access to an Area Manager for support in running your business
- Access to regular updates, product information and networking opportunities
- Reporting to ensure you have detailed understanding of your business performance
